Design and Display

In addition, the Z Fold 3’s dynamic AMOLED outer display has a resolution of HD+ (2260 by 832 pixels) and the main display has a resolution of FHD+ (2208 by 1768 pixels). Furthermore, HDR10+ is also certified on the main screen. Due to the Fold 3’s 120Hz refresh rate, both sides of the screen will be refreshed equally.

In addition to the adaptive refresh rate, the main and cover displays will be able to dynamically adjust the refresh rate based on the content on the screen. Protective Gorilla Glass Victus covers the screen and back cover.

With the pill-shaped camera arrangement, the rear panel gets a new look. The hinge is constructed with Armor Aluminum, which protects the hinge interior by being 10% more durable than traditional aluminum.

Furthermore, for the first time ever, the Fold has been certified as IPX8 water-resistant. The sum of these factors makes Fold 3 80% more durable than Fold 2.
