March marked the release of OnePlus’ latest flagship smartphone. There are three devices in the OnePlus 9 series (9R, 9 and 9 Pro), with the 9 Pro being the most premium. We will not be launching the Oneplus 9R here in Nepal, as it is exclusive to India. In Nepal, the Oneplus 9 Pro is expected to be unveiled in the second week of May, according to reliable sources. There will be a Oneplus 9 launch by the end of May. Let’s see OnePlus 9 Pro Price In Nepal with its specs and availability.
OnePlus 9 Pro Overview:
Design and Display
This device has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, as its display is based on AMOLED technology. The screen has a left-aligned circular punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. According to OnePlus, the curve has been optimized to reduce accidental touches while retaining the premium feel of the display.
Fluid Display 2.0 supports 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, as expected. With variable refresh rates, the company has selected an LTPO panel this time around. OnePlus claims the display is capable of dynamically adjusting from 1Hz to 120Hz depending on what is displayed. While the phone is on Always-On Display, lowering the refresh rate to 1Hz will save the phone batteries.
Native 10-bit color depth is also supported by the display. As a result, it displays over 1 billion colors, just like the recently released Oppo Find X3/X3 Pro. The brightness can be automatically switched between 8,132 levels. As on last year’s OnePlus 8 Pro, the display has also been granted A+ certification by DisplayMate.
Several changes have been made to the phone’s back. Our camera module has been transformed from an elongated pill shape to a rectangular rectangle with rounded corners. This model has an additional sensor compared to the vanilla model.
Performance and Memory
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset powers the OnePlus 9 pro. Qualcomm has developed this chipset as the most sophisticated it has ever offered. An ARM Cortex X1 “Prime Core” processor clocked at 2.84GHz accompanies the tri-cluster CPU. A Samsung 5nm process is used, along with three Cortex A78 “performance cores” and four Cortex A55 “efficiency cores.” A 5G modem is integrated.
With its new “Cool Play” technology, OnePlus keeps the temperature of the device within a reasonable range. After 20 minutes of gameplay, the company claims the five-layered cooling can keep the device several degrees cooler than Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra.
The 360Hz sampling rate of the phone is optimized for games like PUBG Mobile, COD Mobile, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Brawl Stars. It’s called “Hyper Touch” by OnePlus.
Before OnePlus launched its Chinese handset, Oppo’s ColorOS 11 caused much discussion. This will, however, affect only Chinese devices, and will replace HydrogenOS. OxygenOS, which is based on Android 11, will still be shipped with the global variant.
The camera quality of OnePlus devices has been notoriously sub-par, despite its exceptional performance. Recently, the company announced that it would partner with Hasselblad to change that. The partnership is expected to last for 3 years, during which OnePlus will commit around $150 million.
There are four cameras on the back and one camera on the front of the OnePlus 9 Pro. Here, you’ll find a 48MP Sony IMX789 camera, which OnePlus claims has a 64-fold increase in color compared to its predecessor. Video recordings will be available in 4K/120 fps and 8K/30 fps. Additionally, users will be able to record in 12-bit RAW format. In addition to Digital Overlap HDR, the main sensor features full-pixel, omnidirectional autofocus.
In contrast, the Find X3 Pro has an ultrawide sensor much like the Find X3 Pro. In both cases, the 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor is used along with a freeform lens. According to the company, the latter reduces distortion that ordinary smartphone lenses cannot cope with. 3.3x magnification is available on the telephoto lens as well. A monochrome 2MP sensor completes the set.
The phone features technologies such as Focus Peaking, Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad, and Hasselblad Pro Mode, as well as a brand new camera app. As well as Tilt-shift, Nightscape Video 2.0, Hyperlapse, and more, users can experiment with different shooting modes.
Rest of the specs
Battery capacity is 4,500mAh, and wired charging is supported at 65W. The device can be filled from zero to 100 percent in just 29 minutes. A 50-watt wireless charger is also available for charging the phone in 43 minutes without affecting its performance. In horizontal orientation, you can even charge your device wirelessly.
Currently, 50W wireless charging is only available on a few devices, including the Mi 10 Ultra, Mi 11, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, etc. Even faster wireless charging solutions have been demonstrated by both Xiaomi and Oppo, but none of them have been integrated into a commercial smartphone.
